pääsiäinen - easter

pääsiäinen – easter by Fighting Tiger.

I really miss so much stuff about Finland.

Just then, I just got a message from SiD that almost made me cry.

Radek turned up in Porvoo the other day. If you’ve ever read the Moomintroll books, you’ll know what Radek’s like when I say he is a Czech version of Snufkin. He turns up in spring and leaves before winter takes hold.

If it’s spring now in Finland that means that Ronja, Vera and My would have dressed up as witches to celebrate Easter.

And Ninnu’s kitchen table must be covered with pots of seedlings beginning to sprout in the warmth of central heating.

Yesterday while I was hanging out with Sophie, Joel and Ianto I wished that Sid, Ninnu and Ronja could have been there. I think that it’s one of the best signs that someone will be your friend when on first meeting them you go “Gee, I think they’d get on really well with these other friends I have”.

One day, eventually they’ll come to Radelaide and I know I’ll be visiting Finland at some point in the next 12 months. But it’s just not the same. And if I was back in Finland I’d really miss everyone here.

Damn this wanderlust. It makes you miss more and more of the world with every day.
